Someone has said “When you finally go back to your old hometown, you find it wasn't the old home you missed but your childhood”. The saying is so much true to the ones staying away from their hometown, where they were born and brought up.
And I am one of those who miss their hometown a lot. My hometown name is Noamundi. It’s a small iron mining town, found by TATA STEEL, situated in Jharkhand state of India and this town is right on the border of Jharkhand and Orissa.
The way my hometown got its name is having an interesting story. And the story is when the iron ore explorers came first time to this region. Something had affected them with so much of wonder and that was the local tribal people of this region, who are known as adivasi, who were using iron axes to cut the trees or whatever they were in need at that time. Those iron explorers had asked those tribal people where did they get these axes from. Those tribal people pointed to a not far off hill and called it Noamundi which means “that hill” in their local language. The language which they speak is known as HO. Noamundi is located in densest and deciduous forest of Asia named Saranda. 'Saranda' means 'The land of 700 hills'.
The above is what I have written about Noamundi... mostly I have taken from wiki....J.
Very very interesting things are awaiting to be written.. Just gotta go thats why I just would say as of now that is mentioned below...
To be continued....
